Description of the investment

Sewage from Kalisz, Nowe Skalmierzyce and the Gołuchów commune is transported by means of transfer system collectors and pumping to the sewage treatment plant. The investor has planned a renovation of a section of the DN800mm sewer discharge manifold in Kościelna Wieś near Kalisz, 1165m long, together with replacement of used fittings and sealing of chambers. The works were carried out using the trenchless method with the help of thermosetting pressure sleeve technology. However, in order to carry out the planned renovation it was necessary to perform the so-called “bypass”, which took over the sewage transport for the time of renovation works.

For this purpose, Radpol supplied PE100 d630 SDR26 pipes, which are manufactured in our factory in Lublin in diameters up to 1000mm.

The planned incorporation of the bypass pipeline into the discharge pipeline was carried out during low sewage flows (at weekends, at night) and with the main pumping station at Złota Street in Kalisz turned off.

For the duration of the investment, the pressure collector has been taken out of use and cleaned. During this time the Contractor introduced the so-called sleeve into the existing pipeline and renovated the main collector.

During the execution of the sleeve, was activated an additional surface collector d630 (bypass) made of PE100 pipes from Radpol.
