Polish District Heating Forum 2024

Polish District Heating Forum 2024

This year’s edition of the Polish District Heating Forum in Międzyzdroje, as every year, gathered key players from the heating industry: business representatives, production companies, technical experts, contractors and legal regulators. It was a meeting full of heated discussions, exchange of knowledge and presentation of innovative solutions for the heating sector in Poland.

During numerous lectures and discussion panels, participants discussed the most important topics related to energy transformation, in particular challenges related to decarbonization and the implementation of renewable energy sources (RES) in heating. Much attention was also paid to key EU regulations, such as the RED III directive, and the need for their effective implementation at national level.

Main conclusions after the talks:

  • Regulation and policy: The transformation of heating requires a stable legal framework and a simplification of the tariff system to encourage investment in zero-emission technologies.
  • Collaboration: Key industry players need to work with regulators such as the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) to fully leverage the potential of innovation and streamline the process of modernizing existing systems.
  • The role of technology: Great emphasis was placed on the implementation of modern solutions, such as pre-insulated pipe systems with a diffusion barrier and UV-Protect overhead heating network systems, which significantly improve energy efficiency and security of supply.

Radpol Pipes was present at the Polish District Heating Forum presenting its advanced solutions for the heating sector. Thanks to over 30 years of experience in the production of pipe systems, Radpol Pipes actively supports the energy transformation by providing innovative and effective technologies, i.e. pre-insulated pipes dedicated to the transmission of heat, cold and industrial media.

In Międzyzdroje (Poland), we confirmed that a modern approach to heating infrastructure and constant cooperation with industry leaders are the key to success in the dynamically changing energy landscape. We look forward to the next editions of the Forum and to further cooperation with our partners to build a more sustainable future.
